Sealed Storage: L-proline is prone to moisture absorption. After absorbing moisture, phenomena such as caking and deterioration may occur, affecting its activity. Therefore, it should be placed in a sealed container, such as a sealed bag or a glass bottle with a sealed lid, to reduce contact with air and prevent moisture absorption.
Low-temperature Storage: Generally speaking, L-proline is relatively stable in a low-temperature environment. It can be stored in the refrigerator's refrigerating compartment, with the temperature controlled at around 2 - 8°C. This can reduce its chemical reaction rate and decrease the possibility of degradation and deterioration.
Avoiding Light Exposure: Light exposure may trigger photochemical reactions of L-proline, leading to changes in its structure and thus reducing its activity. So it should be stored in a place away from light, such as in a dark container or inside a cabinet, to avoid direct sunlight.
Dry Environment: The humidity of the storage environment should be kept at a low level, and the relative humidity is preferably between 40% and 60%. Some desiccants, such as silica gel particles, can be placed in the storage container to help absorb the moisture that may enter the container and maintain a dry storage environment.
